For this client, we are looking for individuals for their office in Bucharest to take an active part in their company’s success story in Romania.
Descrierea postului:
Respond to and resolve incidents opened for problems with UNIX servers.
Will use existing documentation to resolve known problems and troubleshoot any unknown problems without documentation.
Must know when to escalate to the senior system administrators
Complete scheduled system administration tasks on UNIX servers. These tasks include the following:
- Therapeutic Reboots
Respond to requests for work to be done on UNIX servers. These requests include the following:
- Security Audits
- Patch installation
- Firmware upgrades
Cerinte:
Technical University graduate
1-2 years of UNIX Command Line experience
1-2 years of Shell Script experience
Strong Operations Background
Desired Skills:
Competent in both written and verbal communications
Good troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated competency in one or more lines of the following UNIX areas skills:
- Operating Systems: (AIX, HPUX, Solaris, Linux)
- Backups: (NetBackup, Omniback, Custom)
- SAN: (EMC, Clarion)
- Networking: (DNS, NIS, NFS, Cisco, BigIP)
- Middleware: (Oracle App Server, Apache, Jboss, WebSphere, WebLogic)
- Monitoring: (BMC, Tivoli, CA, Automation)
ITIL awareness
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
Preferred to be certified in any of the UNIX OS or related UNIX products
