Profiles of the ideal candidates:

• Client oriented: although the main job is programming, significant time needs to be spent on discussing with the client to implement projects;
• Bachelor degree (or higher);
• Fluent English.
Job description:
Be part of product development and implementation team of Client in Brussels. The team is responsible for the complete life-cycle of the Client products and services; this includes analyses, design, implementation, QA and operational support of the SAAS infrastructure. This position is also referred to as “Conversion Manager” – emphasizing the need to not only act as an experienced developer but also as a commercial interface with the customer to help him improve his “conversion” ratios (from web site visits to actual clients).
Tasks consist of:
• Progressing the Client product backlog (core behavioral engine improvements, new feature development, product stabilization, scalability improvements …);
• Customer implementations – specific customer reporting projects, customer specific business rules;
• Interaction with customer during definition, rollout and support phase of the project.
Relevant skills (in order of importance):
1. PHP / Mysql
2. (D)HTML / Javascript/ Ajax
3. Knowledge of object oriented programming
4. Flash / ActionScript
5. Linux
6. MySQL - MS SQL – MS server
7. Photoshop
8. Hosting server maintenance
All the positions are located near Brussels (Belgium).
Other important characteristics or requirements:
• Very good command of the English language is mandatory for all candidates. All candidates will need to pass an English Proficiency test.
• Willingness to learn Dutch or French within 6 months of the transfer to Belgium will be considered as a strong plus.
• Client is no ordinary company and they are not looking for ordinary People. You’ll need to possess talent, passion and the curiosity to complete your mission.
• Strong personalities. As candidates will relocate to another country and be exposed to another environment, culture, languages, they need to be adaptable, strong willed and disciplined.
• All candidates need a driving licence that is valid in Belgium.
Compensation package & other benefits.
Client offers a motivating salary in a dynamic business environment where the candidates will have full possibilities for career development & coaching. A period of 3 months intensive training is foreseen.
Overview of compensation package:
o Gross monthly salaries will be around € 2,500 depending on relevant experience of candidate.
• Other benefits:
o Meal vouchers (1 per working day – net amount of 4.91 € per voucher)
o Paid for usage of public transportation and/or compensation home-work-home (to be agreed between candidate & Client).
o Holidays: min. 20 holidays per year.
The candidates will have a trial period of 6 months.
Relocation package offered by Client
Client will offer € 1,500 to the candidate to pay for his initial relocation expenses (house hunting service, purchase of some furniture or participation in moving costs,..). These € 1,500 will have to be reimbursed by candidate if the candidate voluntarily leaves Client within the first year of employment.
