Agile Scrum Project Manager

Using the Agile Scrum development framework, the Scrum Project Manager will facilitate the delivery of products and features in collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams comprised of developers, testers, and designers, in a manner consistent with business requirements as defined by product management (aka “Product Owner”).
Responsibilities:
• Facilitating daily meetings, sprint planning, release planning, and sprint retrospectives for 2-3 cross-functional teams
• Promoting a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation
• Removing impediments to development progress
• Providing visibility to team status and issues to senior management
• Identifying and coordinating dependencies with external teams
• Promoting continuous improvement in productivity & innovation
• Mentoring team members on Agile and Lean software development principles & practices
• Planning & tracking release milestones for releases
• Communicating release status and coordinating with teams
• Liaising between product development managers at headquarters & onshore/ offshore development teams
Desired Experience:
• 5+ years experience as a Project Manager, Software Developer, or QA Engineer of software development projects
• Demonstratable examples of successfully built and delivered products (not projects)
• Clear understanding of Agile Scrum
• 2+ years experience delivering commercial “B2B,” web-based applications, and/ or “software as a service” products
BONUS SKILLS:
• Proven track record of working with and motivating collaborative and productive development teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (negotiation, persuasion, team building, conflict resolution, obtaining commitment)
• Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level of attention to detail
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
