Perot Systems is looking for a Storage Systems Specialist, highly experienced in SAN/NAS and HP XP24000.
The ideal candidate should have:
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience within the SAN and NAS Administration areas, with knowledge of multiple vendor Storage solutions
• Thorough knowledge and have hands-on experience in supporting SAN hardware from HP such as the XP 24000 and EVA including local replication techniques
• Some experience designing and implementing large-scale NAS environments using Network Appliance or EMC NAS/SAN solutions
• Develops standard operating processes for storage support
• HP XP24000 Storage Certification
• ITIL Certification desired
Responsibilities:
• Designs, installs, and administers storage appliances in an Open Systems storage environment
• defines, tracks, and maintains data resources in the production IT environment
• Ensures the availability, reliability, scalability, and manageability of the data storage environment
• Works with key technical and business stakeholders to determine data and storage requirements and creates solutions to meet requirements
• Investigates storage issues and provides resolution on complex issues following standard incident, change request and problem management processes
• Validates technical solution architecture and provides time and cost estimates versus performance trade-offs. Writes technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Analyzes both hardware and software products for evaluation and proof of concept
