The Product Manager can have a significant impact on the business
immediately so candidates applying for this position should have
in-depth knowledge of the software environment, with specific product
experience in defining, developing, and project managing applications.
Applicants for this position must be willing to spend time in the market
so as to understand the existing problems, find innovative solutions and
manage all product- related processes, from concept to delivery. They
must also be able to communicate with all areas of the company as the
Product Manager will work with marketing and sales to define the
go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning,
key benefits, and target customer. Moreover, the Product Manager acts as
the internal and external advocate of the product offering, working with
the sales channel and key customers, as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Understand customer requirements and needs Expertise in developing Marketing Requirement Documents and Product Requirements Documents which will be used as a foundation with the engineering team * Research, analyze and understand the competitive landscape, market conditions and emerging trends * Develop business plan and revenue forecast for product / solution * Join forces with the development team to deliver applications and manage budget and delivery dates * Expert ability to multi-task and oversee all details of the product, throughout its life cycle * Ability to give clear and concise presentations before internal and external audiencesIMPACT OF THE POSITION ON THE ORGANIZATION
The Product Manager will be responsible for business growth, financial
performance, and the attainment of strategic revenue objectives. He/She
will play a proactive role in product planning and design to ensure the
differentiation of the company’s products as against those of the
competitors.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
* 3+ years experience in software development and applications with a proven track record in developing, launching and selling applications * Bachelor degree required * Manage all aspects of the product life cycle * Expertise in writing MRD & PRD * Extensive understanding of the software for Unix servers environment and best practices * Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills * Expert ability to use PowerPoint and Excel as frequent presentations are required * Creative, strategic thinker able to quickly grasp complex issues * Team player able to work effectively across an organization * Ability to multi-task and shift focus to match changing prioritiesIDEAL PERSONAL PROFILE
