Main Purpose of the Role
•To provide L2 remote and desk-side support for IT European customers using desktop equipment including telephones
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•To act upon tickets assigned by the Helpdesk for action in accordance with the SLA.
•To ensure that the helpdesk ticket tracking software is updated with all actions, e.g. troubleshooting, time spent, resolution and work with the Helpdesk to ensure effective customer communication
•Configuration, setup and installation of new equipment for the Desktop
•Participation in moves, additions and changes in the Desktop & telephony environments
•Manage time effectively to ensure that the overall team is able to deliver against all commitments
•Perform daily checks, e.g. AV checks
•Provide user assistance as required for meeting setup, e.g. Vidcon
•Participate in operational acceptance testing as required
•Perform or participate in trend analysis to eradicate recurring incidents
•Undertake knowledge transfer to L1 to ensure maximum remote fix
•Participate in business or local projects as required
•Perform local requiremets gathering and facilitate purchasing with the UK team - via local IT Team
•Perform additional tasks as to be reasonably expected for this role
•Liaise with the Local and European network engineering team to ensure maximum network availability
•Liaise with the Local and European systems and Studio teams in conjunction with server, windows and UNIX issues.
Special Considerations
•May occasionally be required to work outside of normal business hours
Skills and Knowledge Required
•MS certifications, MSCE or MCP preferred
•Extensive knowledge of Desktop Software/Hardware, Windows OS (2000, XP), MS Office, ( good to have knowledge about MAC OS - Tiger and Panther )
•Knowledge Ethernet, LANs, TCP/IP
•Blackberry/Good link handset support - it would be good to
•AV equipment, including Tandberg, Crestron - good to have
Experience Required
•3/4 years solid experience in 200+ user in a Windows environment
•Experience of working in a pan-European or global company desirable
