Adulmec.ro is an online media company focused on local commerce. Through Adulmec.ro, Urbo.ro and DealFever.ro, and their mobile apps, we connect local business and consumers in exciting new ways. We are a young, dynamic, hard-working team that is quickly expanding. We are headquartered in the historic center of Bucharest and are currently recruiting talented, motivated individuals who want to join the exciting, fast-paced growth of social commerce.

We are looking for an experienced senior programmer to join our existing tech team. You will be joining five other professionals in expanding our capabilities in several areas depending on your interests and abilities: social ecommerce, search, mobile (iPhone/Android/HTML 5), and much more.

Requirements:

• Ability to work (with our other programmers) on adding new functionality to our sites as well as to improve existing functionality to achieve higher performance and scalability
• Advanced knowledge of a dynamic programming language (e.g. PHP, Ruby or Python).
• Expertise with database-driven Web site design (preferably MySQL) and team-based software development processes.
• Ability to work in a team on tight deadlines, assuming responsibility for a project and guiding junior programmers.
• Strong desire to stay on the forefront of developing technologies.

Beneficial skills:

• Knowledge in Python is helpful but not required; a strong desire to learn is necessary though.
• Exposure to any of the following technologies is advantageous: jQuery/Prototype, iPhone/Android development, Solr/Lucene/Sphinx, memcached/mongodb.
• Experience with CMS (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla) and/or Framework-based development (Django, Zend, Ruby on Rails).
