The consultants shall fulfill the following:
- Answer and respond to call and e-mails;
- Record incidents and request into the incident management system;
- Identify, classify, track, troubleshoot, resolve and close incidents;
- Assign and escalate incident to second level support teams;
- Liaise with customer to ensure satisfactory completion of incidents; and
- Configure, install and troubleshoot desktop or laptop hardware and standard IAEA software.
Most of the work required is at the Vienna International Centre and occasionally at a nearby IAEA facility in Seibersdorf.
The work of the consultants will involve liaising with a variety of IAEA’s internal clients and Agency’s staff working on specific and ad-hoc projects as well as routine operations.
The working language of the staff shall be English.
Experience and Skills
Minimum of 3 years of continuous professional and practical experience supporting Microsoft products in an enterprise environment.
Mandatory skills
The consultants shall have the following mandatory skills:
- At least 3 years relevant working experience providing IT desktop support in a LAN environment;
- Excellent knowledge in Active Directory and Group Policy management;
- Extensive experience in trouble shooting and supporting Windows operating systems (all the latest versions including Windows 7) and Microsoft Office Suite;
- In depth knowledge and experience in Symantec Antivirus product, to ensure a secure desktop computing environment;
- Knowledge of Remote desktop maintenance and troubleshooting tools and methods;
- Basic hardware knowledge;
- Knowledge in encryption, VPN, backups, desktop deployments;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent communication skill, both verbal and written, in English essential;
- Able to work effectively in an international and multi-cultural environment, with sensitivity and respect for diversity; and
- Excellent team worker.
The consultant shall have besides the mandatory skills the following preferred skills:
-Knowledge of ITIL;
-SCCM knowledge;
-Experience providing first-level support to users of SharePoint; and
-Experience providing first-level support to users of Oracle based solutions.
