Position Summary:
The Adobe Romania Globalization Team is looking for highly motivated people to join the development team. You'll have a unique opportunity to help shape various Adobe award-winning products by contributing in the creation of localized versions and work closely with a team of dedicated and passionate people. You will drive the development of Adobe's localized versions by evaluating the product's localization perspective, preparing bid kits and localization kits, supporting localization vendors and addressing product defects. The candidate will also investigate and resolve internationalization (core) issues. Responsibilities:
• Drives the localization process of Adobe products, designs, writes and integrates i18n code into the products, with respect to total separation of resources from the code
• Designs and implements the localization strategy/work flow for products
• Develops some ad-hoc tools that would facilitate the automation of the localization processes
• Works with other groups, including third party vendors to resolve internationalization or process issues
• Provides input on the Adobe localization process and takes initiative in developing new tools that improve the overall process
Cerinte:
Knowledge & Skills:
• B.S. or M.S. degree Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years C / C++ programming
• Ability to understand complex technical information
• Able to work independently to identify issues, define architecture, and respect tasks
• Communicates effectively with the team
• Works with management, including attending and reporting on meetings
• Solid foundation in development process, best practices and design patterns
• Familiar with desktop UI APIs
• Strong knowledge of character encoding systems (UTF-8, UTF-16, Unicode)
• Knowledge of Localization and Internationalization processes would be a plus
• Knowledge of Python or Perl as well as process automation and scripting is a plus
