Responsibilities:
Implementation Engineering
- Works on multiple simultaneous projects to implement new technologies and configuration in conjunction with other ETS/Security Groups.
- Serves as technical consultant on divisional network projects
- Acts as a lead and subject expert for certain technologies/services within the group as assigned
Service Transition
Participates in the ETS/Security Release Management Process for New Services and ongoing Service Feature releases to include, but not limited to:
- Working with Service Design on the initial service concept ensuring a handover to Service Transition
- Working in a cross functional team to develop the service and required deliverables
- Working with Service Delivery/Operations to train and handover the service such that it can be delivered and supported consistently
Participates in and applies the same Process for subsequent service releases as defined by the Service Roadmap
Acts an interface between Service Design and Service Delivery/Operations
Fourth Level Support
- Provides 4th level support to Operations for escalated issues and drives these to resolution
- Works with Design Engineering on chronic Problems.
Requirements:
- University degree in Information Systems or related area required
- Minimum of three years experience in the design, implementation and operation of WAN/LAN networks with Cisco hardware
- Cisco Qualifications, CCNA/CCDP Preferred
- Advanced English language skills (verbal, reading, writing, understanding)
- Experience of working in a global environment essential
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 - advantage
- Excellent Communication and Teamwork skills.
