Primary purpose of this position is to develop back-end functionalities for web applications related to personal finance and travelling. You will work (or play, depending on your perspective) in our cosy office in Copou, Iasi (right next to Casa Pogor), with no or very limited travel required.

Responsibilities

• You will develop n-tier web applications using Java frameworks: Spring (AOP, MVC, Webflow), Hibernate, Jetty. You will be able to develop alternative solutions to various programming problems and to evaluate them in collaboration with the development team.
• You will collaborate with other members of the digital development team (front-end developers, content managers) as well as designers for development projects and for final validation of the product.
• You will collaborate with team members of other software companies for integrating our products with third party systems (ERP/CRM, mobile communication systems, etc.).

Cerinte:

Knowledge and qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related fields (including Mathematics and technical related fields)
• at least 1 year of experience in software development, preferably for web products;
• strong software development skills;
• sound domain knowledge of Java programming language (1.5, 1.6), JEE, Spring, Hibernate and deployment over Apache Tomcat or Jetty;
• a thorough understanding of web communication protocols like HTTP and SMTP and the request-response work flow, as well as XHTML and Document Object Model;
• proficiency with design patterns, data structures and algorithms;
• experience in working with SQL-based RDBMSs and XML (schemas, parsing, transforming with XSLT);
English language (at least working knowledge);
• experience with Linux, Apache Commons, Maven .
