For Ruby-on-Rails Engineer:
- Experience with Ruby, we will also consider experience in other OO
based languages (python or java).
- Strong experience with SQL and RDBMS.
- Experience developing highly scalable consumer internet sites.
- While the focus here is on the server side, you should feel
reasonably comfortable working with view layer.
- Bonus points for having experience with or being interested in
iPhone or Android development.
For Front-End Engineer:
- Can hand code beautiful HTML.
- Deep understanding of CSS.
- Experience with unobtrusive AJAX, JQuery, and Backbone-JS.
- Understand issues around cross browser compatibility.
- Understand browser rendering behavior as it applies to user
experience (performance).
- Comfortable working with templating languages (like .erb, .jsp,
etc).
