Job description:
For our client, a growing Romanian IT software company which is specialized in business analysis consultancy, software development & deployment and application tuning & optimization, we are currently looking for Automation Test Analysts to be part of their smart, dynamic and talented team.
You will be involved in testing web based applications for Play.com, third largest online retailer with an excess of nine million customers in over 30 countries and up to 850 employees.
They are committed to the creative use of technology as a way of differentiating its retail proposition from the competition. Partnering with leading vendors such as Oracle, IBM and Microsoft, Play.com leverage’s these relationships to create technologically sophisticated solutions to deliver real value to their customers.
We are searching for tenacious testers who are passionate about what they do and have the energy and vision to deliver.
Requirements:
Experience working in web based test environments (3+ years)
2+ years utilising automation tools (not just record and playback)
Experience in working in waterfall and fast paced non-structured, agile working environments.
Experience in automation having a clear understanding in automation maturity
Understanding of software programming languages (.Net & C# is a plus)
SQL skills (writing effective queries for validations)
XML/XPATH skills (writing XPATH queries for validations)
Understanding of scripting languages and test automation techniques
Understanding of software design techniques
Good knowledge of web based application development and data presentation languages
Experience of developing automated test frameworks and environments
Effective team player
Good communicator
Responsibilities & Duties:
Clearly written, complete, and portable test documentation (Creating and executing on test plans, specifications & reporting).
Perform Manual and Automated testing activities.
Create Automated scripts for both regression suite and throwaway agile projects and has a clear understanding of why both types of approaches are required.
Adapting available and or creating new tooling to help streamline manual test efforts leading to more effective code coverage.
Schedules, and prioritizes work and makes appropriate compromise decisions.
Integrate appropriate tools e.g. Image comparison tools, Silk Performer to assist in attaining better tests and results. Experience of using Microsoft products for automation.
Design and maintain clear workflows and processes to ensure team works in a unified & efficient manner in cooperation with the Automation Team Lead and Test Team Leader.
Demonstrates ad hoc testing skills.
Provide status updates that clearly identify risks, progress, dependencies, and other issues in a timely manner to a level of detail required for the audience.
Interpret automation results to determine issues and provide possible resolutions.
